The ex-Wycombe Wanderers stopper joined Histon in the summer from Kettering Town and is set to fight for the No1 shirt with Danny. His ability and track record are outstanding so expect the defence to be well marshalled.

 

Danny Naisbitt

Previous Clubs; Middlesbrough, Walsall, Barnet, Carlisle, Dagenham & Redbridge, AFC Wimbledon, Cambridge City

The ex-Barnet keeper joined Histon from local rivals Cambridge City in the summer after impressing the Histon management in last seasons Derby fixtures. An outstanding keeper who will enjoy the battle for the number 1 shirt with Mark Osborn.

 

Matthew Cowell

Matt is a young goal keeper with ambitions of becoming the Stutes No 1 and under the guidance of the goalkeeping coach Lance Key he has every chance.

Mathew Mitchel-King

Since joining Histon from Mildenhall Town, Mat has established himself as one of the finest centre-half’s at this level of football and no doubt he will be looking forward to the challenge ahead as Histon embrace the new season in the Blue Square Premier. Mat was last seasons Player of the Year

 

Matthew Langston

Having arrived at the Glass World Stadium from Milton Road Matthew capped his debut season in fine style by playing a major part in securing the Nationwide South title.

 

 

Erkan Okay

Date of Birth 29 January 1985

Previous Clubs; Ipswich Town

Having joined Histon from Ipswich Town Erkan has for the last two seasons made the left back slot his own. He also gained his first England cap last season playing for the England Futsal team.

 

Mark Coulson

The ex-Peterborough Utd utility player played an important role in the Clubs run-in last year and will be fighting hard to establish himself in the Blue Square Premier team this season.

 

Matthew Haniver

Matthew begins his sixth season at Histon and was an ever-present member of last season’s championship winning side in fact Matt has been an ever present in the team since joining the Stutes from the U’s.

 

Roscoe Hipperson

Squad Number 15: Height 6:2

Date of Birth 12 August 1975

Previous Clubs; Thetford, Spalding, Kings Lynn, Cambridge City

The German as he is affectionately known as’ played a vital role in helping Histon secure the title last season having played a substantial part in the later part of the season after waiting patiently for his opportunity.

 

Patrick Ada

Squad Number 30: Height 6.0

Date of Birth 14 January 1985

 

Previous Clubs: Barnet, Redbridge, St Albans, Exeter City

Patrick joined Histon in the summer from Exeter City and is expected to make a big impact in the Stutes line-up Patrick was a major part of the St Albans Championship winning team in 2005-2006 and was in the team that beat Histon in the Play Off Final at Stevenage

 

Gareth Gwillim

Squad Number 25: Height 6.0

Date of Birth 9 February 1983

Previous Clubs: Farnborough Town, Welling, Crystal Palace, Bishop Stortford

Gareth joined Histon in the summer after captaining Bishops Stortford last term and is expected to add a wealth of experience to the Stutes this season. The Ex Palace player’s delivery is as good as anyone’s.

 

Craig Pope

Previous Clubs; Barnet, Cambridge City

Craig joined Histon from Milton Road in the summer after impressing Histon boss Steve Fallon during his three years and many games against the Stutes. His commitment and quality are likely to make him a real favourite with the fans.

 

Adam Dalby

Adam has progressed through the youth ranks at Histon and is now firmly established in the Club’s Reserves. He has every chance of progressing into the Clubs first team and becoming a regular Conference player

 

Mark Webster

Squad Number 26; Height 6:2

Date of Birth 9 August 1987

Previous Clubs None

Having played his way through the Clubs youth and senior sides Mark is looking to make his mark in the first team. Last season Mark captained the reserves and demonstrated his leadership qualities and ability to play in many positions.

 

Luke Upcott

Squad Number 31: Height 6:2

Date of Birth 22 April 1989

Previous Clubs: Bluntisham

Luke has improved beyond recognition since his debut two seasons ago in the Clubs youth team, his progress through the youth team and reserves demonstrates how strong his potential is. No one will be surprised if Luke breaks into the first team this season.

Adrian Cambridge

Adrian starts his 9th season at Histon having being instrumental in the club’s success over that time. He is always instrumental in everything of quality and has a great goal scoring record.

 

John Kennedy

Squad Number 7: Height 5:8

Date of Birth 19 August 1978

Previous Clubs; Ipswich Town, Canvey Island

John joined Histon from Canvey Island ahead of last season and was without question one of the Clubs best ever signings. Last season JK won player of the year as well as supporter’s player of the year.

 

Neil Andrews

Neil celebrates his 11th season at Histon and has been involved in the club’s five promotions during that time. The club skipper has been the heart beat of the Club’s midfield showing exceptional loyalty to club and manager.

 

Robbie Nightingale

Robbie starts his fifth season at the Glassworld and during this time has always been an influential player within the team his goals and end of season form last term played a vital role in helping the club secure the Championship.

 

Dean Bradshaw

Dean joined Histon in the summer from Braintree Town and is looking to establish himself in the Stutes team. Having picked up valuable experience playing abroad he is sure to be a valuable member of the team

 

Nathanial Knight-Percival

Nathaniel has progressed through the Histon youth ranks and has established himself in the Histon first team and his form last season indicates that Nat has a very bright future at Histon or even higher.

 

Jamie Barker

Jamie skippered last year’s team to the Nationwide South title and this year celebrates his 11th season at the club; having played in almost every game in his 11 years Jamie is the most capped player in the Clubs recent history.

 

Matthew Banister

Matthew has progressed from the club’s youth team and has every chance of becoming a Histon first team regular during the coming season. Having attracted attention from a number of professional Clubs the Stutes are pleased that Matthew has decided to stay at the Glassworld

Neil Kennedy

Kendo celebrated his 300th goal for Histon in April 07 in his 11th season with the Stutes. His goals have paved the way for the success that has seen five promotions in his time with the club and in turn is known as the fans ‘legend’. King Kendo

 

Antonio Murray

Date of Birth 15 September 1984

Previous Clubs; Ipswich Town, Hibernian

The ex-Ipswich Town player joined Histon from Hibernian and last season demonstrated he has great potential to become one of the League’s outstanding goal scorers. His 16 goals last season helped Histon to the Nationwide South Title.

 

Cliff Akurang

Previous Clubs; Chesham, Hitchin, Heybridge, Thurrock, Dagenham & Redbridge

Cliff joined the Stutes from Dagenham and Redbridge in the summer and is set to lead the strike force for Histon’s first Blue Square Premier campaign - a proven goal scorer at each club he has played at.

 

Chris Dillon

Histon purchased Chris from Hitchin Town in March 2007. This proven goal scorer is looking to make his mark in the Blue Square Premier with the Stutes - a team he scored against many times during his time at Bedford Town.

 

Danny Wright

Danny has become a fans favourite, having joined Histon in March his commitment and goals immediately demonstrated his credentials as a player who can help keep Histon in the Blue Square Premier and maybe even better. Expect to hear his name on the Histon terraces for many years to come

 

Gavin Gordon

Gavin is looking to re-establish himself as a prolific goal scorer as he recovers from serious injury after an impressive career at Lincoln City and Cardiff City who paid over £250,000 for the player.

Now the most successful manager in Histon Football Club History Steve has certainly provided fans with plenty to cheer about in his nine seasons, three Championships and another promotion as runners up give him a CV in Football that few managers will ever achieve. Steve has demonstrated loyalty and commitment rarely seen in football few Clubs will have ambition wrapped up in with such integrity.

 

John Beck

Coach

Previous Clubs: QPR, Cambridge United, Lincoln City, Preston North End

Winning promotions and cups has provided John with a CV that stands up next to anyone in football having taken Cambridge United and Preston North End to Wembley and enjoyed untold success with the U’s John still boasts the record or being their most successful manager of all time. The coach has added two more Championships to his list of achievements and with manager Steve Fallon makes the perfect partnership complete.

 

Lance Key

Lance has enjoyed a wonderful career in football, initially moving from Histon in a big money transfer he moved full circle when he returned to Histon to help secure the Southern League and Nationwide South Championships. Now using his quality and experience to develop and progress the Club’s goal keepers, the coaching staff has a great asset.
