Player Profiles - 2007/2008
Lance Key (1) - Goalkeeper - now in his second spell at the club, Key left to join Sheffield Wednesday in 1990, from there he went on to play for a number of clubs, before re-joining Histon for the start of the 2003/04 season. Former clubs include Sheffield Wednesday, Oldham (L), Oxford United (L), Lincoln City (L), Hartlepool United (L), Rochdale (L), Dundee united, Sheffield United (L), Rochdale, Northwich, Altrincham (L) and Kingstonian.
During the 2007/08 season Lance also played for Ryman League side Bury Town, along with his step - son, also played for Corby Town.
Matthew Haniver (2) - Defender - Joined the club from Cambridge United, made a scoring debut at Rothwell Town in the Dr Martens - Eastern Division, former club only includes Cambridge United, joined Cambridge City in February 2008 on a months loan.
Erkan Okay (3)- Defender - Having joined Histon from Ipswich Town, also gained his first England cap last season playing for the England Futsal team, in Novermber 2007 Erkan was called into the FA England C side, former club was Ipswich Town.
Matt Mitchel King (4) - Defender - Joined the club from Mildenhall Town, former clubs include Cambridge United, Cambridge City and Mildenhall Town
Mat Langston (5) - King - Defender - Joined the club for the start of the 2006/2007 season from Cambridge City, won a Championship medal in his fisrt season, former clubs include Watford, Aldershot Town, Barnet, Stevenage Borough and Cambridge City
Adrian Cambridge (6) - Midfield - 2007/08 season will be his 9th season at Histon having being instrumental in the club’s success over that time. Joined from Cambridge City, from where he joined from his village side Foxton.
John Kennedy (7) - Midfield - Joined the club for the start of the 2006/07 season from Canvey Island, he joined the Islanders from Ipswich Town where he played 6 times for the first team, was a regular in the England National Game XI while at Canvey
Neil Andrews (8) - Midfield - 2007/08 season Neil celebrates his 11th season at Histon and has been involved in the club’s five promotions during that time. Former clubs include Gt Shelford, Sawston United and Cambridge City
Neil Kennedy (9) - Forward - Joined the club from Newmarket Town, "Kendo" has gone on to score over 300 goals for the club, former clubs also includes Mildenhall Town
Antonio Murray (10) - Forward - Joined Histon from Scottish side Hibernian, where he made 12 first team starts, for the start of the 2006/07 season, Murray started at Ipswich Town, where he made 1 start, from Town he moved to Hibs, son of former Cambridge United defender Jamie Murray.
Jamie Barker (11) - Forward - Home grown talent, been at the club since playing for the Youth team, 2007/2008 sees him in his 11th year at the club.
Dean Bradshaw (12) - Midfield - Signed for the club during the summer of 2007, but missed the first part of the season due to injury, in November 2007 he joined Billericay Town on a 28 day loan, former clubs include Braintree Town, from where he joined from.

Early February 2008 Dean left the club having agreeing mutually with the club to have his contract terminated. The player has been hampered by a number of injuries which have limited his appearances for the Stutes to Reserve Team Games. The player had found January especially demanding with his work commitments and training requirements no longer allowing him to train at the level that would push him into the manager’s plans. Joined BorehamWood, scored on his debut for his new club.

Cliff Akurang (14) - Forward - Joined the club during the sumer of 2007, joined as a known goal scorer, joined from Dagenham & Redbridge, former clubs also include Chesham, Hitchin, Heybridge, and Thurrock, made his league debut for Histon in the 2 - 1 defeat at home to Aldershot Town on 24th August 2007.

Akurang left the club during the January 2007 Transfer window, he left to join League Two side Barnet.

Roscoe Hipperson (15) - Defender - Has been a regular in the side until recent season, but got his chance to play a vital role in the Championship winning side of 2006/07, former clubs include Thetford, Spalding, Kings Lynn and Cambridge City
Robbie Nightingale (17) - Midfield - 2007/2008 will be his 5th season at Bridge Road, joined the club from Cambridge City
Nathaniel Knight - Percival (18) - Midfield - Another player to come through the club from the Youth team, now a regular name on the team sheet, picked for the England C side for their fixture in Finland in Novermver 2007.
Chris Dillon (19) - Forward - Joined the club in March 2007 from Hitchin Town, but had to wait for the start of the 2007/08 to make his league debut, which was at Stevenage Borough on the 14th August, former clubs include Luton Town, Grays, (Jokerit Finland) Bedford. Spent October & November 2007 on loan at Hemel Hempstead Town, recalled late December.

Left the club during the January 2008 Transfer window, having had a number of offers from clubs Dillon choose Hemel Hempstead Town.

Mark Osborn (20)- Goalkeeper - Joined the club in the summer of 2007 from Kettering Town, former clubs include, Wycombe Wanders, Kettering Town, and Farnborough Town, joined BSG (Southern League) club Halesowen Town on a 3 month loan from October 2007. In the January 2008 transfer window, Mark made the move to Halesowen for the rest of the 2007/2008 season.

Matthew Cowell (22) - Goalkeeper - A young keeper who was named in the first team squad for the first time in the F.A Trophy game against Cambridge United, former clubs include Gamlingay and Biggleswade.

Danny Naisbitt (21) - Goalkeeper - Joined the club during the summer 2007 from Cambridge City, former clubs include Middleborough, Walsall, Barnet, Carlisle United, Dagenham & Redbridge, Hendon, Welling, AFC Wimbledon, Lewes (loan) and Cambridge City, made his league debut against Oxford United on 18/09/07.
Daniel Wright (23) - Forward - Joined the club from Norfolk side Dereham Town in March 2007, former clubs also include Attleborough.
Craig Pope (24) - Defender - Joined the club during the Summer 2007 from Cambridge City, made his debut on 24th August 2007 against Aldershot Town, former club includes Barnet where he played over 30 games, scoring two goals.
Gareth Gwillim (25) - Defender - Another player to sign for the club during the Summer of 2007, joined the club from Confernce South side Bishops Stortford, former clubs include Farnborough Town, Welling and Crystal Palace

Mark Webster (26) - Defender - A player to come through the Youth team.

Adam Dalby (27) - Defender - A player to come through the Youth team

Gavin Gordon (28) - Forward - Joined the club during the summer of 2007, recovering from a serious injury, former clubs include, Hull City, Lincoln City, Cardiff City, Oxford United, Notts County and Crawley Town, yet to make his debut for Histon

Matthew Bannister (29) - Midfield - A player to come through the Youth team
Patrick Ada (30) - Defender - Joined Histon in the summer of 2007 from Exeter City, was a major part of the St Albans Championship winning team in 2005-2006 and was in the team that beat Histon in the Play Off Final at Stevenage, former clubs include, Barnet, Stevenage Borough, Exeter City and St Albans Town. Made his debut on 11th August against Burton Albion.
Luke Upcott (31) - Joined the club two yeas ago, when he played for the Youth team, now a regular in the clubs Reserves, former club was Bluntisham.
Jack Midson (33) - Joined the club in January 2007 from Bishops Stortford, made his debut coming on as a replacemnet at Torquay United, live on TV, home debut was against Stafford Rangers, which lasted 63 minutes before the game was called off due to fog, first goal for the club came against York City on 16th February.
